New apprenticeship centre opens in Barnwood
THE next generation of employees in Gloucester can learn their trade at a new centre.
Gloucestershire Engineering Training (GET), a registered charity set up and owned by Renishaw, Moog, GE Aviation, Messier Bugatti Dowty MRO and Delphi, aims to provide full apprenticeship programmes, NVQs, graduate training and refresher programmes and currently has 250 apprentices on its books. Ian Mean, editor of The Citizen, officially unveiled GET's new headquarters at Barnwood Point on Thursday.

Mike Bennett, the deputy Lord Lieutenant of Gloucestershire, was at the opening.
He said: "This is an example of growth that is really good and everyone connected with it should be proud.
