New date for Tesco Coleford planning inquiry
Tesco will resume its bid to open a new supermarket in Coleford in June.
A planning inquiry into the retailer's proposals for a store in Lords Hill has been rescheduled for June 5 and 6 at the district council's offices.

The inquiry was due to take place last month, but was postponed minutes after starting due to concerns not enough objectors knew about it.

“hey i only gave u an example back, Nibnobs
The same item 8 pack and the price difference that worked cheaper in Coop than Tesco even when not half price at Coop, even if only 1p. it shows they do have some items cheaper.
i can sit here and go thro pages of Tesco and Asda and Coop to pick prices to find who better but i got better things to do with my life.
beside's the more bigger the pack the better the price anyway as saves packaging. i don't know what coop sell 12 pack for, i don't care either.
i just wanted to show Tesco is not so perfect as you make out. and no i don't work for either company, i just hate Tesco's and yes i shop at Asda.”

“thestig2,
Ah, but in Tesco you can get 12 Richmond Irish recipe thick sausages this week for £1.75 which is 14.4p per sausage, compared to the price you say they are in the Co-op which works out at 14.48p per sausage. I rest my case, even Co-op's special offer is more than Tesco... d'oh!!

“Richmond 8 Irish recipe thick sausages
tesco on offer £2.40
co op half price £1.19. norm £2.39.
we can all pick prices to suit.
yes Coop is dear on most prices but then Tesco's and Asda have diff prices to.
Lydney has Tesco and coop but if coop was so bad why do people still shop there. prob because most of Tesco staff are so grumpy u dont want to be there.
It not just Coop that may not want Tesco's store everywhere, some of us just dont like tesco and would like better choice like morrisons, Sainsburys or asda ect around the forest so we have choice.
give us a choice of stores not just all tesco's all over forest.”

“No doubt the Co-op will continue to try to block the new Tesco. Problem simply is Co-op's prices, things on a promotion in dump bins around the tills are at a competitive price but their normal shelf prices for things like bread, Heinz tomato ketchup, cereal, soup and coffee are over 25% higher than Tesco & Asda.
Example: Nescafe Cafe Menu coffee sachets (box of 8)
Asda £1.50 All flavours
Tesco £1.49 All flavours
Co-op £2.98 for the few flavours they stock!!!!!!!!
Heinz Ketchup 700g plastic squeezy bottle
Tesco £1.57
Co-op £2.18
Hands up who has money to waste like that?”
