Mr Mills said: "We've gone for the top end in terms of equipment and staff.
"It is a great set up at the moment. Why do you want anything less than the best?
"There are many gyms which offer cheap membership fees, but we want to be at the top and set the standard."
He said the gym would look to work with both young athletes and professional sportsmen and women, but would also have space for anyone who wanted to train seriously.
He added: "We want to be the best we can be, nothing less."
Trimnasium will be based at Pioneer House, which is close to Cheltenham Spa station on Queen's Road. It will open its doors on November 1.
