Nigel is ranked as a leading individual by legal directory Chambers & Partners.
He is well known in the commercial property world and regularly lectures for Henry Stewart Conference Studies in London.
His arrival bolsters Cheltenham-based Willans' expanding commercial property department, which last August was also joined by a former member of Nigel's team at Charles Russell, associate Alasdair Garbutt.
Nigel said: "I'm delighted to be joining Willans and welcome the opportunity, assisted by Alasdair, to expand our work with investors and occupiers within Gloucestershire and the surrounding area, offering first rate, practical advice at competitive rates.
"I look forward to being a key member of the team at the forefront of advising commercial clients on how best to meet their needs."
Margaret Austen, Willans managing partner added: "We are very pleased to have appointed Nigel and are fortunate our reputation enables us to attract partners of Nigel's calibre.
"Alasdair and Nigel are very capable lawyers and their arrival has provided additional strength and depth to the talents of our existing teams.
"At this time of the economic cycle, as confidence returns, there is more commercial activity being undertaken and our team is well placed to take advantage of this."
