Night safety group aims to help visitors
NIGHT safety partners will meet next week for the latest round of talks to discuss how to improve the social experience for visitors to Gloucester at night.
The city's Nightsafe group piled its weight behind a campaign for a six-month trial of a pedestrianisation of Eastgate Street on weekends to improve safety in the area at night.
The meetings are chaired by city councillor Jennie Dallimore, with the group's next meeting on Wednesday at the Civic Suite at North Warehouse, starting at 10am.
A community fun day has also been organised by Nightsafe partners, Safer Gloucester, to take place at the Clock Tower Park on Saturday, September 28.
