Older heads are on guard
SOME of the best veteran fencers in the country will be coming to Longlevens next month as Oxstalls Indoor Tennis Centre hosts the British Championships.
Competition entries close at the end of the week with the championships open to Britons signed up to the British Veteran Fencers association.
Gold, silver and bronze medals will be handed out in each of the six categories.
Although there are no separate age categories, medals will be handed out to the highest-placed competitors in each weapon division.

There will be two rounds of pools followed by a direct knock-out round.
The three-day competition will begin on Friday, March 1 at 8.15pm.
