Olympic champ Ashleigh wins Mercedes backing
TEAM GB hockey player Ashleigh Ball proudly showed off her Olympic bronze medal when she visited Mercedes-Benz at Staverton last week.
The company had been Ashleigh's car sponsor for the event and has also supported other sporting events and teams, including Gloucester Rugby and the Brewin Dolphin Cheltenham Cricket Festival.
Steve Lyons, dealer principal of Mercedes-Benz, said: "It has been so rewarding for us to have helped Ashleigh Ball with the sponsorship of her car.
"Sports such as women's hockey don't often receive the recognition they deserve and now the team has won bronze at the London Olympics, it will give Ashleigh and the squad a much greater profile.
