Oops!... Kimberley Did It Again
OOPS she's done it again – Kimberley Dayle has picked up another award for her Britney Spears impression.
The 25-year-old, from Cheltenham, was one of 15 winners at The Reel Awards in Las Vegas – the Oscars of the impersonators' world.
It is the latest success for Kimberley, who has toured the world with her act since beginning it more than three years ago.
Her ability to look and sing like the American pop idol has transformed her life and enabled her to make a more-than-healthy living.
After picking up the Pop N'Rock for Reel award in Las Vegas, she said: "I'm really honoured to have been recognised by my peers. I felt really chuffed when I won and shocked."
Kimberley accepted her trophy on stage at the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino after performing at an impersonators' convention during a week-long stay in the city.
The award was given to her after between 200 and 300 impersonators, their agents and managers decided her talent should be recognised.
It follows her achieving national recognition in Britain by appearing in a BBC Three documentary in July.
She was keen to thank two Cheltenham dancers, Liz Morris and Jenny Hannis, who performed with her in Las Vegas.
The former St Edward's School pupil, who splits her time between her home in The Reddings and a base in London, said getting the award would keep her as busy as ever.
Despite knowing so much about Britney, Kimberley has never met her and has no idea whether the singer knows about her English impersonator. She said: "She's very protected. She doesn't meet anyone." Although she will keep performing Britney classics such as Baby One More Timeand Crazy Kimberley said she hopes to release her own material in the future.
