Packed programme to celebrate 150 years of Huntley church
Huntley Church is celebrating the 150th anniversary of the rebuilding and reconsecration of the Grade I listed building with a year-round programme of events.
The events began in January, with a visit to the Church by the Bishop of Tewkesbury, and continued in February and March with a talk on the history of Huntley and a Victorian Magic Lantern Evening by Mr Patrick Furley.

Events during April, May and early June include a Bluebell Walk, Victorian Tea at Huntley Manor, a talk on 'Huntley Church and its History' and a Benefice Communion Service with the Bishop of Gloucester preaching.
The main celebration weekend starts on Friday June 21, 7pm, with a concert by Severn Voices at Huntley Church and the celebrations continue from Saturday and over that weekend with an exhibition of floral and other displays with a Victorian theme at the Church, an exhibition of historical photos and books at Huntley School, a local history weekend at the village hall and a special anniversary service at the church with the Archdeacon preaching, and civic dignitaries in attendance.

The celebrations continue from July to December, with events including a Founders Day Service, village walks, a cheese and wine evening, Harvest Festival and Supper, Christmas Fair, and a concert by the Tann House Singers (Fri 13th December).
