Pampering is raising cash for maternity
THERE'S a chance to pamper yourself and support Stroud Maternity Hospital tonight with an open evening at Coco Chic in Cainscross.
Leanne Townsend from the beauty salon was so impressed with the care she received at the unit when her daughter Edie Lou was born eight months ago that she decided to give something back.
She said: "I had a water birth with no pain relief. I'm sure the fact Edie Lou is such a happy little baby is due to having a happy and relaxed birth."
Many local businesses have agreed to support Leanne by donating gifts for an auction.
The open evening, which runs from 6pm to 9pm at the salon in Westward Road, offers a chance to bid on Forest Green Rovers tickets, horse riding lessons and more. There will be free makeovers, with tips from a London-based make-up artists, Shellac nails and a demonstration of semi-permanent make-up.
