Pancakes races in Dursley were around Sainsbury's car park to aid the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal in Cam and Dursley
PANCAKES were tossed in traditional style around a new course in Dursley this year.
Around a dozen people entered the town's annual Shrove Tuesday races, held around Sainsbury's car park this time because of gas main works along the usual route of Parsonage Street.
Sainsbury's employee Joel Stoneman won for the second year running and duly received the trophy from mayor Councillor Jane Ball.
"There were medals on ribbons too for first, second and third placed," Mrs Ball said.
