NOT many tennis fans can say they have been lucky enough to have a chat with Andy Murray and have their photo taken with the Great Britain Davis Cup team.

But Stephanie and Terry Parker from Cheltenham had a day to remember after winning the British Tennis Experience Passport competition, which ran at some of the pre-Wimbledon grass court events.

Spectators were offered a passport from the British Tennis Experience area from which they were required to answer three event-specific questions and then enter their answers on to one of the iPads.

With around 2,000 entrants, Stephanie and Terry couldn't believe their luck when they received a phone call to tell them they had won.

Stephanie said: "I was shocked and excited and was really pleased that I could take someone, so I decided to take my dad who is a disabilities tennis coach."

The prize featured a trip to Braehead Arena, Glasgow, to watch day one of the Great Britain versus Luxembourg Davis Cup as well as a photo opportunity with the AEGON GB Davis Cup Team.

Murray and the rest of the team chatted to the winners and found out more about Stephania and Terry's interest in the game.

Terry coaches tennis to wheelchair players at Oxstalls Tennis centre in Gloucester and was delighted when the whole team signed a memento to take back to the centre.

He said: "Shaking hands with Andy Murray was an honour."

Stephanie said her favourite part of the prize was seeing the team at breakfast, seeing them win against Luxembourg and feeling part of the behind-the-scenes crew.

They spent day one of the tie witnessing Murray beat Luxembourg's number two player Laurent Bram and James Ward lose out to Gilles Muller.
