Partnership with Burns is blossoming
THE best half-back partnerships feed off instinct – and Dan Robson believes he is on the right track with Freddie Burns.
Robson reckons the attack-minded pair have already struck up a decent on-field rapport, and only expects that to grow with time.
Burns is still young at 22, but already controls the Gloucester backline on a regular basis.
While 20-year-old Robson believes the rough edges are yet to be rounded off, he is pleased with initial progress.

Robson explained: "Freddie really wants to take the ball to the line, he wants to take defences on and stretch teams, and that's great for me.
"I want to do similar things, so hopefully it means I've got a good idea of what Freddie wants, and when.
"You do have to work on the little things, but we work quite well together because we want a fast tempo and a quick game.
"Hopefully we can keep building that as things progress."
Gloucester take on a Worcester side low on confidence this afternoon (Sixways, 1.30pm), the Warriors frustrated after two-straight defeats.
But the second of those was a battling 34-26 loss in the Leicester Tigers lair.
And Robson said no one at Kingsholm will underestimate the size of the challenge.
He continued: "We know this will be a very tough test, you can't really look at results too closely at this stage of the season, teams are still settling down with new signings and new patterns of play.
"It'll be a tough game no doubt, but we're ready for it.
"We really stepped things up a gear at London Irish, and now we've got to keep moving in the same direction.
"Worcester might have lost both games but they ran Leicester very close, at Welford Road too, and everyone knows what a big ask that is.
"So no one is going to look at Worcester and expect anything – for us to get a result there, we've got to be at our best."

“I like what I have seen from Robson so far. But what I also like is that the competition appears to have given Lewis a kick up the backside. Maybe he thought he was always going to be behind Lawson last season, but Lewis appears to have found some of the form he showed from 3 seasons ago prior to his injury.”
