Paul Burrell's three-in-a-bed session with Princess Diana fans
IT'S not every day that Paul Burrell leaps out of your wardrobe and shares a three-in-a-bed experience with you and your partner.
But that's exactly what happened to Jo and Ken Dobson, of Hucclecote.
Mr and Mrs Dobson are well-known founders of The Diana Circle and live and breathe their passion for the late princess.
But they are also long-time friends with Mr Burrell, who was Diana's former butler and once described himself as her "rock".
The 55-year-old persuaded the Dobsons in a phone call almost two years ago to take part in filming for a new comical show called Superstars and Superfans, which airs on Sky channel TLC on September 17 at 10pm.
The show promises to provide "a hilarious glimpse into the eccentric world of real-life celebrity devotees".
The billing for the episode adds: "The I'm-A-Celebrity-drama-queen-turned-florist is prepared to grant two elderly superfans exclusive access to his inner sanctum."
Mrs Dobson, 74, said: "Paul hid in big black curtains in my wardrobe and jumped out on me for the filming.
"We also had a three-in-a-bed snuggle with him. It was like something from The Waltons.
"The show is about how we got to know Paul. It was great to do the filming. They even laid on a private car for us.
"He said to us afterwards that it was a laugh and that we were natural actors. We've known Paul for years and he's a very nice man."
