“What do The Echo know about this story that they're not letting on? To write "she collided with a bus" implies that the pedestrian was at fault. Writing "she was involved in a collision with a bus" does not.
Be careful with these things. I wonder if Northclife still employ sub-editors; I guess not.”

“Kids should be warned, it's not big or clever to be 'on food'!!
Come on TIG, sort it out will you. Your spelling and mistakes are becoming so common these days, and you don't even correct it immediately when your readers point it out! Get some pride in your work and represent your county better please.”

“It sounds like something has been left out, which seems to happen on a regular basis with this lot. Perhaps it should read "while slipping on food", but even that would be very poor English.
Maybe the proof readers should have financial penalties imposed on them for letting things like this get through.”

“She collided with a bus? While on food?
I'm picturing a woman running, bang, into the side of a double decker with her head stuck in a McDonalds takeaway bag.
Thus making a mockery out of some poor soul who was probably HIT by a bus and is injured and traumatised.
Shame on you TIG!!”
