She said: "I think this was the fourth time I helped Verity out.

"I love doing it. It creates a reaction from people. It is just good fun you know?"

Anji was diagnosed with cancer seven years ago, and was given the all clear in 2011. Since her diagnosis, she has enjoyed a new lease of life.

"It turbo charged me when I found out," she said.

"I have been to Australia every year since, travelling around house-sitting. I don't arrange it beforehand, I just head out there and go with the flow.

"I didn't do anything like that before finding out I had cancer, but now I love it.

Star

"I call myself 'Superwoman' now!

"I got the idea for being a live underwear model when I was in Sydney when I saw someone doing it, although she was a lot younger than me. I don't get nervous about it at all though."

Anji was modelling various styles of underwear from 11am to 3pm and curious customers wandered in throughout the day.

Business owner Verity Symcox said: "Anji had breast cancer and like so many has fought back from the disease.

"She is a real star and has always supported our businesses that do so much for breast cancer and its sufferers."

She added: "People are really interested to see a live model and it definitely gets people talking.

"Nailsworth is a bit of a sleepy town, so if anything this wakes people up a bit. It is just something a bit different and it helps us celebrate our birthday in style."

The day also included various other promotions and fun.
