“Note the lack of information as to whom may be responsible: "two men in dark clothing and balaclavas " and that's it - bottom line is, they don't really care - however, you might get an e-fit of two balaclava clad men in a couple of months time!
This could have killed the old guy - yet not a peep from anybody including the police - DISGRACEFUL.”

“I hope, if caught and sentenced, the sentence will reflect the cowardly, sick nature of this crime. I don't care what childhood, drink or drugs problems they have - no mercy. They didn't show this poor man any mercy and could mean he is now too frightened to live in his own home - a place that should feel safe.”

“What sick degenerate scum can do this to a defenceless old man in his own home. This poor man will never again feel safe in what should be his safe haven. But what do you expect if when these lowlife scumbags are finally caught and appear in court some namby pamby judge gives them a pathetically inadequate sentence. Because the defence lawyers roll out the bog standard "he was drunk m'lord and didn't know what he was doing .. or.. has a drug problem m'lord, he was doing well, and has been clean but his pet budgie died and that has temporarily set him back.
Crime like this will just increase unless sentencing laws are changed, and our judges grow a set of balls, see through the cr*p being spouted in their defence and send them down for a very long time. About time they had the smirks wiped off their nasty faces.”
