Pensioners become fashionistas on charity catwalk
PENSIONERS became fashionistas as they took to a makeshift catwalk at their church.
Six models showed off an extensive clothing range to 45 people on Tuesday at St Oswald's Church Hall, in Coney Hill, in a bid to raise funds for Young Gloucestershire Carers.
Organiser Christine Clark said: "We were absolutely delighted because we raised £245. We would have been happy with any amount really but this is much more than we expected.
"All of us had a lot of fun and it was all for a good cause. Last Monday was Older People's Day and we were encouraged to do something for young people so this was our contribution. The youngsters who look after their mothers and fathers are very deserving."

The items modelled included day wear, night wear, evening wear, wedding outfits, a bride's dress and casual wear and they were donated by Just-In, a ladies fashion retailer at Winchcombe.
