Ploughmen blow Trumpet
NINETY nine ploughmen and 11 teams of horses, pitted their skills against each other for the 69th Trumpet Ploughing Match.
Vintage and modern tractors also gathered for the event at The Old Rock Farm, which saw teams compete from across the country.

Ploughed furrows were judged on various criteria, including uniformity, finish and general appearance, with 11 cups awarded.
"It's part of our heritage and a real skill and art," said Eric Freeman, of Trumpet Agricultural and Ploughing Society.
