Police appeal after Cirencester distraction burglary
POLICE are reminding people in Cirencester to protect themselves from distraction burglaries by being vigilant in checking out the callers to their home.
The warning follows an incident in Bowling Green Crescent yesterday.
A man visited the home of an elderly couple at 4.40pm stating that another house had had problems with their boiler and that he had to check the pipes in nearby houses.
He was let into the home and spent time looking at the taps in the kitchen.

It was then discovered that around £300 in cash had been stolen from the address.
One of the suspects is described as a white man in his late teens, around 5ft 9ins with short brown hair and he was wearing a dark coloured jacket and trousers.
The other man was white, tall, wearing dark clothing and he had scruffy hair stubble.
Anyone who saw individuals matching these descriptions in the area on Wednesday are asked to contact Gloucestershire Police by dialling 101 and quoting incident number 311 of November 28.
