Police hear public views about safety
CONCERNS over public safety were brought to the attention of police officers who attended a community consultation event at GL3 Community Hub.
The neighbourhood meeting was an opportunity for councillors and residents to meet police and air any concerns they had over community safety.
Fly-tipping, parking on pavements and speeding were the main problem areas highlighted.
Parish councillor Bill Whelan chaired the meeting.

"Theses meetings are community-led and a good opportunity to get people together to address important issues," he said.
"The police have said although crime figures are down overall, dwelling burglaries are up so reiterated the need for people to check their home security.
"We aim to hold these meetings three times a year and work with other communities to pool resources together."
