He has grey hair and a moustache, and police said he was wearing a black business suit, a white shirt and a purple tie.

He was travelling to work in a blue Peugeot 307, car plate number DU03 ULN.

The 43-year-old man likes to visit beauty spots in the Cotswolds and Stroud areas, and also might visit hotels in Weston-super-Mare and Minehead.

Inspector Steve Chester, of the Gloucester City Local Policing Team, said: "We are worried about Mr Burnell's welfare and are keen to locate him as soon as possible.

"I would urge members of the public who may see him or his vehicle to report sightings to Gloucester Police on telephone number 101, quoting Incident 485 of the 19th November".
