Forest Inspector Jane Horrobin said: "We believe these drugs were destined for the supply chain in the Forest, to possibly cause havoc in our communities or cost the health service money if anyone suffered ill effects.

"The housing association who own the house where the drugs have been found have also been informed of this operation so that we can ensure a joined up approach to dealing with this issue.

"My officers did a cracking job here, staying on after their duties were meant to end to ensure we could complete this warrant.

"I hope residents are reassured, and I hope anyone else with information about drugs in the community is encouraged to come forward.

"There is the police 101 number but also please remember information can be given anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
