Preparations on course for festival
FINAL preparations are under way for Cheltenham Connect's Community, Craft and Music Festival.
The Leckhampton-based group, which supports local businesses, is hosting two-day event on July 3 and 4, starting at 10am on both days.
The celebrations will also include the opening of the revamped Norwood Triangle.
The project has seen the triangle renovated as a celebration of the town's tram road, which converged there.
Wendy Elyatt, chairman of Cheltenham Connect, said: "We hope this can then become an annual event celebrating the vibrancy of the south Cheltenham community and the array of talent there is in the area.
"There will be an exhibition about the project and a craft fair. Local musicians, organisations, schools, traders, churches, Scout groups, green groups and children's entertainers are all helping to make the weekend a success."
The festivities will start in The Suffolks on the Friday evening with the re-enactment of an historical dinner.
