FANS of the popular TV series Coast get a chance to see presenter Professor Mark Horton in Gloucestershire this week.

In Coasting Along – An Evening with Mark Horton, the historical archaeologist takes us behind the scenes of the successful programme and offers first-hand experiences of his BBC career.

Since starting in 2007, the show has travelled the length and breadth of the country discovering the secrets of the UK coastline with stories which make each place unique through their history, archaeology and landscapes.

The event, produced in partnership with Under the Edge Arts, takes place on Thursday at 8pm at The Chipping Hall, Gloucester Street, Wotton-under-Edge. Tickets, £8, are available from Dr Jenner's House by calling 01453 810631.

There will be a bar and raffle on the evening and all proceeds go to Under the Edge Arts and Dr Jenner's House.
