Prize silver for Newnham duo
FOR the first time in the history of horseball, the men's World Cup, ladies' European Championship and under-16s junior European Cup were played simultaneously at Ponte de Lima, Portugal.
Newnham's Caz Maycock and Bryony Goodwin returned home triumphantly with silver medals from the ladies' event.

Britain were undefeated against Portugal, Spain and Belgium.
They played France in the final showdown, but lost out in the sun to the hot favourites.
Newnham's Adam Maycock and Chris Radley represented the senior British men's team in the first FIHB World Cup Championship.
The team came ninth overall after playing teams from Spain, Germany, Canada and Brazil. They thrashed the Canadians 16-3 and Germany by 10-1 in their final play-off matches. Newnham's Ashleigh Bailey and Caitlin Davis represented the Great Britain junior team in the fifth FIHB European Cup.
They finished fifth, just behind Belgium.
All three British teams were coached by French international Laurent Motard.
