Pupils at the Crypt School in Podsmead have worn blue for the Cobalt Appeal

PUPILS at Crypt School have ditched their uniforms and baked cakes for charity.

The Podsmead school held a 'Wear Blue 4 Cobalt' day on Friday in a bid to raise funds for the Cobalt Appeal - a charity founded in 1964, helping in disease prevention, research, treatment and diagnosis.

All pupils made a donation and also baked cakes to raise extra funds.

Mary Peterson, regional community fundraiser at the charity, said: "We are really thankful to the school for taking the time to help Cobalt.
