Quedgeley school boy's design to be featured on Tesco carrier bags
SOON to be seen at a supermarket near you will be the artwork of a Quedgeley schoolboy who has won a national competition to design a new carrier bag.
Meadowside School pupil Tom Hiscock, seven, will have his design showing him driving to the shop with his mum plastered on to bags at Tesco stores all over the country for the company's Click and Collect service.
The school was encouraged to get involved in the competition by Tesco community champion Delia Howes, who helps offer supermarket funding for community events in the area.
She said: "Tom's design was bright and vivid and will certainly brighten up carrier bags which usually look quite dull."
