Quedgeley stalwart Jackie Hall steps down as councillor
QUEDGELEY stalwart Jackie Hall is stepping down as a councillor after 16 years.
County councillor Jackie has vowed to stay active in the community even though she won't continue in her role come May.
Mrs Hall, from Fox Run, said: "I have had the privilege of serving Quedgeley for all these years but I have taken the decision not to seek re-election this year.
"I will continue to live in Quedgeley and take an active interest because it is, after all, my home and my community and I want the best for it."

Since being elected in 1997, the south west by-pass was built, schools have been refurbished, the shopping centre was only just emerging and children centres didn't exist.
Jackie also served a four-year stint on Gloucester City Council from 2001.
And by 2005, Jackie was elevated to become the councillor responsible for the county's education provision.
She said: "Over the years I've presided over the rebuilding of a number of the county's schools. I've also had to take the unenviable task of closing some.
"In recent years the work has been challenging as we grapple with ever-shrinking budgets and a greater call in those areas of social care, especially for the elderly."
And Jackie couldn't sign off without paying tribute to the people who have helped her along the way.
"I have many people to thank for their help and support over the years. The list is endless," she said.
