The Dean Heritage Centre turns the spotlight on how our ancestors recycled in a series of February events.

The Soudley museum and attraction stages a Make-Do and Mend Fun week from February 14 to 22, which will turn its attention to the Victorian concept of recycling.

It is inviting visitors to help make a giant Forest rag rug from recycled textiles and found materials, and also offers a chance for visitors to weave their own rug to take home. Children can make peg dolls in the museum's Forester's Cottage.

The Recycle Roadshow steams into the Camp Mill complex on Sunday February 15, courtesy of the Recycle for Gloucestershire's 3Rs campaign (reduce, reuse and recycle). Visitors can make their own paper to take home and also learn how to get composting.
