A telephone kiosk was emptied of cash by raiders who struck on Wednesday evening.

Now police in Ross-on-Wye are appealing for information after money was reported stolen from the telephone booth in Lea, off the A40 Gloucester Road.

The kiosk, near The Crown Inn on Rock Lane, had the contents of the cash box taken at around 7.30pm.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and remembers seeing any suspicious people or vehicles near the location.
