The rain is expected to fall all day causing fears of more flooding.

The Met Office has issued an orange rain warning for Gloucester and the Environment Agency has flood warnings in place for Gloucester, Cheltenham and Tewkesbury.

It says about 10mm of rain fell overnight in some areas.

Police said there is surface water in many areas and the A4136 is closed from the traffic lights at Staunton to Monmouth.

Outbreaks of rain continuing through the afternoon, again heavy at times.

The maximum temperature will be 14 °C.

Outbreaks of rain will continue through the evening, again heavy at times.

Overnight, the rain should become lighter but is likely to persist. It will be breezy with a minimum temperature of 8 °C.

Tomorrow will have a cloudy start with some outbreaks of light rain.

However, further persistent and perhaps heavy rain will push north across the region through the afternoon, continuing through the night.
