LEGAL challenges that would have dealt a major blow to redevelopment plans in Cinderford have been thrown out.
Forest of Dean District Council has successfully defended High Court challenges against two planning permissions granted for development including new road junctions at Northern United and Forest Vale Road in the town. The challenges sought to overturn the council's decisions to grant consent for developments which will open up key development sites.
In making his judgement, Mr Justice Collins said the defence put forward by the council and partner Natural England demonstrated the claim could not succeed.
Leader of the council, Patrick Molyneux said: "This is another positive decision for both the council and the residents of the Forest of Dean."
