Redpath blasts Gloucester for 'average' performance
HEAD coach Bryan Redpath had a damming assessment of Gloucester's performance in defeat to Wasps, describing it as 'average'.
The Cherry and Whites lost 24-19 after clawing their way back from 13-0 down in the first half, claiming a crucial winning bonus point at Adams Park.

Mike Tindall scored his first try since his comeback against Wasps
But Redpath was adamant it was a game Gloucester could have won had it not been for unforced errors and a lack of attention to detail.
"I thought we were pretty average and we were fortunate to come away with a point," Redpath said. "Take nothing away from Wasps, who were very efficient in what they did with Dave Walder's kicking.
"But we coughed up possession, gave penalties away and didn't control the contact area which made it very hard to get a hold in the game.
"Everything was a bit snap-shot for us. We were low on energy and tempo in the game and I thought our discipline was average."
Redpath was frustrated Gloucester did not get the ball enough to the in-form Lesley Vainikolo and the returning Mike Tindall, who scored a superb second-half try to bring his side back into it.
Tindall limped off not long after scoring, but Redpath said it was only a precaution.
Talking about Tindall, Redpath said: "He got a dead leg, I took him off as a precaution.
"It is good to see him back. He will probably be a little bit frustrated he never got his hands on the ball enough, the same for Lesley. They never really got the chance."
Redpath experimented with his starting line-up with Tim Taylor and Andy Williams forming a new half-back partnership.
But despite Gloucester coming back after the pair had left the field, the head coach said it had nothing to do with them in particular.
"They both had injuries," Redpath said. "Tim Taylor picked up a knock just before half-time and limped off.
"Andy Williams got a bash on his head.
"We made the changes and Rory (Lawson) and Nicky (Robinson) did add a little bit, which they will do because they've played a lot of rugby.
"But that wasn't the reason we lost the game. There were as many as 12 errors, that's why we lost.
"We didn't carry the ball with enough conviction when the ruck was slower. I wouldn't single anyone out. Collectively we enjoy getting praise now as a team we have performed poorly and we've got to accept that. It wasn't good enough."
Aside from Tindall, Taylor and Williams, all minor knocks, Alasdair Dickinson went off with a head injury which will be a concern to Scotland ahead of the return of Six Nations rugby next week, and Alasdair Strokosch damaged an ankle which will also be of concern to Andy Robinson with England making the trip to Murrayfield. Peter Buxton is expected back next week.

“Great to see Mike Tyndall back to form. Missed tackels let David Lemi win the game.”
