NAILSWORTH Olympic champion Peter Reed and partner Andy Hodge continue their success at the Henley Royal regatta yesterday.

They set up a clash with New Zealanders Hamish Bond and Eric Murray with a victory in the quarter-finals of the Silver Goblets.

Reed and Hodge beat compatriots Iain Cowell and Iain Edmondson by a length to secure passage into the semi-finals.

But their work will be cut out as the Kiwi World Cup winners were a full second quicker in their quarter-final, in which they beat another British pair, Alex Holden-Smith and Peter Randolph.

South African duo Ramon Di Clemente and Shaun Keeling are also strong contenders, having eased their way into the last four with a three-and-a-half lengths victory.

Reed and Hodge already beat Americans Andrew Walker and John Huppi in the first round on Thursday.
