Report 'a massive vote of confidence'
STAFF at a Tewkesbury playgroup could not be more pleased after being given a massive vote of confidence by inspectors.
Education watchdog Ofsted said Tirlebrook Pre-School Playgroup and Toddlers was "outstanding" in every respect.
It gave a huge thumbs up to the group, which caters for children aged two to five and is based on the Tirlebrook Primary School site.
Following the June 30 inspection, Ofsted decided the overall quality of the early years education was outstanding.
In its report, it said: "The staff team is very effective at promoting the children's welfare and works hard to ensure all of them are included in activities.
"Partnerships with parents and the host school are excellent and information is shared very effectively.
"Children are valued as individuals and enjoy coming to the bright, stimulating setting.
"The manager and staff have a very clear understanding of strengths and areas for improvement."
Playgroup owner and leader Angela Worrell said she was delighted at the report's conclusions
"I'm proud of what has been achieved since we started three years ago," she said.
