WHADDON residents will have the chance to bring their issues to the dinner table later this month.

At Whaddon Residents Association monthly meeting, held at the Cornerstone Centre on March 9, members of the community are invited to take part in a 'bring and share' dinner.

Chairwoman Carol Atkinson said: "As well as being a meeting where people can bring up important issues affecting them, we hope it will be a good social occasion too.

"People can bring along a food dish they have prepared and we'll all eat together. It should be fun."

After enjoying high attendance for many years when it was first founded in the early 1990s, the group has struggled for numbers in recent times, with less than 10 people turning up to some meetings.

The association has thrown its doors open to residents from Prior's, Lynworth and the Oakley area in a bid to boost numbers.

"We have struggled for numbers in the past and it is important we get as many people along as we can," added Carol.

"We want to discuss issues which affect people from the whole of Oakley, not just the centre of Whaddon."

The 'bring and share' residents association meeting will start at 7.30pm.
