Revamp agreed for city council's offices
WORK is due to start on revamping Gloucester City Council's offices.
Proposals went before the planning committee on Tuesday to completely revamp North Warehouse at the Docks, with several internal walls being demolished to make it more spacious.
The reception area will also be modernised.
Councillor Lise Noakes (C, Barnwood) said: "I really welcome this, I think it is really badly needed and I look forward to seeing the work done."

“How unlike TiG to leave out half of the information from one of its reports. I can hardly believe it.”

“What wasn't reported is that the council are renting out 3 floors and just using one from now on. This saves loads of money as well as getting rental income. The refurb is being done because of this. I welcome the whole scheme not a refurb of our offices in isolation.”

“At a time when we're in a double dip recession, employees losing their jobs and savage cuts being imposed ? Or , is it being done ''in house'' by council employees ?”
