ONCE again, there has been a superb evening organised to highlight our business community through an awards ceremony.
Billed as the Diamond Jubilee Gloucestershire Business Awards 2012 – a sort of big brother to the highly successful annual Stroud Life Business Awards – it was the 15th Citizen and Gloucestershire Echo event of this type. Randall & Payne, a respected firm of accountants based in Rodborough, was the headline sponsor.
The event took place at Cheltenham racecourse.
The mood was very upbeat and celebratory, not least because so many winners were announced but also in reflection of improved economic news in many sectors including engineering and manufacturing.
Bissell's 8910E Aroma Pro is the ultimate in home cleaning giving you a machine that provides outstanding results when not just cleaning carpets but stairs and upholstery too.

Our area was well represented in the list of nominations and winners. First off with an award was Terry Morgan of the Federation of Small Businesses for the best Gloucestershire Ambassador of the Year. Terry certainly has worked extremely hard over many years and this accolade was richly deserved.
Green Fuels Ltd, based in Stonehouse, was nominated for Environmental Business of the Year.
It is the world's leading manufacturer of biodiesel production equipment.
This award was sponsored by Birmingham Airport.
Victory for the Corporate Social Responsibility Award went to Peter Hickman Hairdressing with several outlets including Stroud.
There was great excitement as the award was received as it is a fitting recognition of all the firm does in the community.
Renishaw was another key sponsor of the event and, reflecting the company's interest in the future, it sponsored the Young Business Person of the Year Award.
Renishaw is Gloucestershire's largest business employer and is famous for training schemes and recruitment of engineers.
This was an inspiring event and signals a more confident and always innovative business community.
