Richard III 'wasn't mean' as hilarious song shows
A VIDEO 'proving' Richard III was 'a nice guy' has gone viral on the internet.
It features a song from the Horrible Histories TV series over footage of the BBC's recent historical drama The White Queen.
That starred Aneurin Barnard as Richard, Duke of Gloucester, who later became Richard III.
The song points out that many of the features we believe to be true about the king are likely Tudor propaganda, to justify Henry VII's rule.

That includes his withered arm and that he murdered the princes in the Tower of London.
Meanwhile, city councillor Sebastian Field, who has been campaigning for the remains of the king to come to Gloucester, is supporting Richard III's relatives.
Now that the case has gone to the High Court in a clear battle between Leicester and York, he is supporting the case being put by Richard III’s relatives for the bones to be laid in York.
He is also celebrating the fact that Gloucester has been added as one of the key cities in a national tour of the reconstructed head.
Gloucester will, in March next year, play host to the head of Richard III, built around the shape of the skull found at the Greyfriars site in Leicester.
Mr Field said: “The festival will be a great opportunity for Gloucester and I am delighted to be driving it forward despite the disappointment that Richard’s bones won’t be buried in the city.
“I now believe it is time that the debate reaches its conclusion and it is only right that the relatives’ case is heard.”
What do you think of the video? Should Gloucester celebrate it's links to the King?
