Roaring relays for Striders
CLC Striders' men and women shone in the County Relays.
The men won bronze and the women's Vet team took gold.
Nathan Jones was star of the day, running 16.35 for the 3.15 mile course.
He handed over to Vet 40 Phil Jowett, who kept the Striders in the medals with 17.18.
Chris Driskell's 17.59 kept them in contention, while anchor Ben Pedley took them from fourth to a bronze.
Amelia Mullins was first-leg runner for the Vet women, recording 22.46.
Dawn Addinall recorded 25.20, and final Strider for the women was Tracey Densham.
CLC Striders had several athletes in the Bath Half Marathon where Al Raitt led the club home with a PB of 1:23.35, followed by Liza Barry with a PB of 1:25.51.
Next was Rachel Vines, who broke the sub 1.30 barrier with a PB of 1:29.37.
Matt Eggelton's PB of 1:30.31 followed, Richard Mann clocked 1:31.12 and Heather Eggelton was next in a PB of 1:43.07 and Vet Paul Jenkins followed in 1:52.12.
At the Gloucester 20 Mile road race, Wayne Usher was first to home in third, setting a new club record of 2:06.14, breaking last year's by several minutes.
Usher was followed home by vet Dave Billingham in 2:17.16, and next was John Howes who recorded 2:35.20.
