ARTIST Rob Collins has spent time on Wotton Hill painting.

Since last October Rob (pictured) has been working on the hill above Coombe making a picture of exactly the same view once a week to record the changing seasons, light and weather as the year progresses.

At 4.30pm on Christmas Eve in the cold with bells ringing in the town and the sunrise as it moved along the horizon as winter turned to spring were two occasions he remembers especially. Rob has written a couple of sentences about each painting session, which is on the website along with the painting itself.

At the end of the year, Country Life magazine is doing a feature on the paintings and will be exhibiting the complete set at Under the Edge Arts in Wotton in January and Newark Park in March and April 2013. The Francis Kyle Gallery in London will be showing them this autumn.
