Robins evens to claim first league victory
WHILE the self-styled 'most exciting league in the world' returns this weekend, overloaded with hype and replete with enough flamboyance to satisfy a troupe of drag queens, Cheltenham Town host Plymouth Argyle at Whaddon Road in an attempt to register their first League Two win of the campaign.
The Pilgrims' start has been even worse than the Robins', because they have lost each of their opening two fixtures.
Accordingly, there is every chance that Cheltenham, priced as BetVictor's even-money favourites, can claim maximum points.
Given Plymouth's lack of points, it is no surprise that they kick off as 3/1 outsiders (Winner.com), while the stalemate is offered at 5/2 by bet365.

Cheltenham have won three of the pair's past four contests, each by the same 2-1 margin, most recently in December of last year when they equalised seven minutes after Plymouth had taken a lead on the half hour.
William Hill quote 11/10 about Cheltenham's opening strike arriving after the 31st minute, which may look a decent bet considering the visitors are yet to score a league goal.
As three of the pair's recent meetings have been settled by a single goal, Ladbrokes' 10/3 for the Robins to enjoy a one-goal margin of victory cannot be discounted.
Nor can the 11/10 available at BetVictor.com for tomorrow's duel to yield more than 2.5 goals, while Paddy Power's 10/3 for it to end as a score draw appears similarly attractive.
Skybet's 11/10 for the opening half to finish on level terms and Stan James's 7/4 for the first 45 minutes to end goalless has attracted money.
Cheltenham appear to hold the upper hand in this fixture and look capable of opening their home league tomorrow.
Online firm Betway offer 8/1 against another 2-1 Robins victory. However, less precise backers may prefer Betfred's 4/1 for them to emerge victorious following a drawn first half.
