Rotary Club cash takes Jodie closer to her Indian journey
A CHARITY worker from Whaddon has been given a helping hand as she bids to go on the trip of a lifetime.
Jodie Porter, from Cromwell Road, has volunteered to spend three months working in India with Raleigh International.
The 10-week trip would take her to tribal areas of Tamil Nadu, where she would work on a range of projects, from building hospitals to teaching in schools.
But she needs to raise £2,000 by April if the trip is to go ahead.
Sunday and Monday evenings £12.00 per head for an all inclusive meal with Indian and Thai cuisine (normal price £14.50).
Bring this voucher to the restaurant complete with your name and email address on it.
Terms: Expires 31st July
Contact: 01452 223782
Valid until: Wednesday, July 31 2013
Now the Rotary Club of Cheltenham North has agreed to donate £100 towards the cause.
The 24-year-old, a student at the University of Gloucestershire, said: "I am really grateful the Rotary Club has agreed to support me. It would mean the world to me to go on this trip."
