Royal Mail could be sold to public in a year
THE Royal Mail could be sold to the public in 12 months, according to business minister Michael Fallon.
The minister said it was his intention to finish the process by April 2014, according to reports this morning.
Experts are predicting a £2-3 billion flotation on the stock market in the autumn, and the move will allow anyone to buy shares in the former monopoly.
Anyone will be allowed to subscribe for shares in the flotation, and the offer will be advertised through intermediaries.
