Royal date for loyal Webb
LONG-SERVING Shortwood United secretary and groundsman Mark Webb has picked up another in a long line of awards – this time with royal approval.
As part of its 150th anniversary, the FA is honouring 150 people who have given exceptional service to football with a special award from its president Prince William, the Duke of Cambridge.
Mark, who has been secretary of Shortwood for 22 years as well as being the club's groundsman, will attend Buckingham Palace with his partner Sarah for the award presentation and meal.
He will also be a guest of the FA at the vital England v Poland World Cup qualifier in October.
