Royal salute for dedicated yachtsman
SAILOR Geoff Coxe has been honoured for his voluntary contributions to his sport by the Princess Royal.
Mr Coxe, who helps out at Frampton-on-Severn Sailing Club, was presented with a Royal Yachting Association award.

His commemorative medallion and certificate was handed over by Princess Anne at a ceremony in London.
Mr Coxe was nominated for his lifetime commitment to the club having given more than 30 years of his time and effort to training and supporting budding sailors in the area.

In the early 1980s, Mr Coxe became senior instructor and then training principal at the club.
RYA chief executive Sarah Treseder said Mr Coxe's passion for sailing and teaching had a positive impact.
"He always strives to achieve high standards and never fails to pass on his enthusiasm," she said.
Mr Coxe said he was not in sailing for awards. "I've done it for the satisfaction but, obviously, it's lovely to be recognised," he said.
"When I started it was just something everyone enjoyed and it becomes a way of life. I still enjoy it and I'm not stopping just because I'm getting the award."
