Rugby star makes his debut on the Quedgeley green baize
CHERRY and Whites star Ben Morgan may have traded a hotbed of Welsh snooker for the traditional heartlands of English rugby, but that hasn't stopped him dusting off his cue for a few frames of his other favourite sport.
Morgan, 23, of Gloucester and England, fell in love with snooker during his time with the Scarlets in Llanelli, taking time out to play with world championship finalist Matthew Stevens at the club of Welsh snooker legend Terry Griffiths.

It was Griffiths who told the 6ft 5ins back row all about the South West Snooker Academy at Waterwells Business Park, shortly before he signed for Gloucester in March. Morgan was filmed at the Quedgeley club this week by ESPN as part of this year's rugby coverage.
"I never dreamed it would be like this," he said. "I'm looking forward to coming back regularly with a few of my team mates."
