Rugby stars of the future show off their skills
Potential rugby stars of the future practiced taking the winning kick in the final of the Rugby World Cup 2015 when a set of posts were put up in Gloucester Park today.
The posts are the first of a set of ten that are being erected in parks around Gloucester as part of the RFU’s Post in the Park programme launched today - two years until the start of the Rugby World Cup 2015.
Gloucester City Council’s newly-appointed rugby world cup event co-ordinator, Adam Balding, a former Gloucester captain, was joined by Council Leader Paul James, along with Thinus Delport, another former Gloucester player now involved in youth training at the launch.
Ten year 6 pupils from Longlevens Primary School took part in a brief training session by Adam and Thinus with teacher Nathan Riley.
