Russian Ice Stars descend on Cheltenham to turn Everyman into winter wonderland
THE Russian Ice Stars are set to dazzle audiences with a stunning show that has seen the Everyman's stage transformed into a ice rink.
A tireless team of backstage technicians from the theatre and from the ice dance company spent 24 hours laying hundreds of metres of tubing into a specially-built frame and spraying it with water, freezing the layers to build up the rink.

Technical stage manager Kieran Barker said: "It is a very long and tricky process but the new system they have introduced means he water freezes almost as soon as it goes on top of the tubing rather than bringing in tons of crushed ice."
